Art Warehousing
Our production facility includes a sizeable Art Inventory Department which provides warehousing storage for a wide variety of art work from Open or Limited Edition prints to Original works of art. This full service department is overseen by personnel experienced in the handling of all art mediums. Each individual piece of art received is entered into our computerized database and is accounted for from the day we get it to when it is shipped by us and received by your client or gallery.
We Provide:
Shelving for cibachromes and stretched art on canvas,
Flat File Drawers for art on paper or unstretched canvas,
Tubes for rolled art on paper or canvas.
A division of this department is reserved for longer term holding, i.e., inventory to draw from for framing or shipping of unframed art directly to your client/gallery.
We offer the following services as part of our Art Inventory Control program:
Quality Inspection
When art arrives, it is carefully unpackaged and inspected within 1 day of receipt. We look closely for any flaws in materials and printing as well as any damage from shipping or handling. If there is evidence of either, we'll process a report with the log-in sheet and notify the sender or the Artist/Gallery for instructions. Otherwise, the art is assigned a log-in # or Reference # and put into inventory. This unique # will allow us to track its progression daily.
Stretching of Art
We employ a unique canvas stretching machine that allows us to effectively mount canvas on stretcher frames, as long as they are of typical size, and can do large production runs or simple jobs requiring only a few different sizes. We can also offer shipping of flat or stretched, unframed art world wide. Contact us for very competitive pricing on this special service.
Numbering of Art
There are occasions when you may need a long distance helping hand with your unnumbered editions.
We can assist you with custom edition numbering or correction of misnumbered editions. This program is
uniquely custom so please contact us for further information.
Custom Reports
Whether your art is at our location for Inventory or for framing we can provide regular weekly or monthly reports
keeping you apprised of all art status. This program is customized to fit your specific needs.
Expert Framing Design
We pride ourselves on the strength of our framing designs. If you're uncertain how to proceed with a design for a particular image or group of images, let us make suggestions or allow us to create a design for you. We will always show you an accurate sample of the design before producing the actual frame.
Shipping
When your framing is completed, it is packaged and enroute to the address you provide within 1-2 days. We utilize several shippers depending on package size and destination. All shipments are delivered to your client's door.
For domestic shipments we offer 2-day delivery. Overnight service is also available for most shipments. International delivery varies, depending on destination country, package dimensions and customs processing. Most international packages reach their destination within 2-5 days.
Full Document Preparation for International Shipments
Whether art is to be shipped to a domestic or international location, be assured we can process the shipping paperwork for any destination. International shipments require a Commercial Invoice and in some instances, Shipper's Export Documentation. We have many years experience preparing these forms.
Custom Packaging
That beautiful frame you just invested in, not to mention the invaluable art it contains, needs to arrive at its destination without any bumps or bruises. Framed art requires special packaging. Our custom frame cartons provide more than ample protection to the contents because of the quality of materials and the design structure utilizing thick, high density foam cut to the exact size of the frame it's protecting. Each carton is a one of a kind work of art in itself. Custom carton pricing falls into a few different catagories, based on size. Call us with your dimensions if you would like to know more about the pricing of this service.
Shipment Tracking, Routing and Retrieval
Upon shipment of your art work, the date, shipper (Fed-Ex, UPS, Pilot Air, etc.), and tracking number are entered into
a computer log set up in our database for you. We are able to track all shipments from the day of shipping through delivery to your client's door. If necessary, we can also retrieve the package. We inform you on a weekly basis what has shipped via a fax report with the following information: Art Title, Edition Number, Client, Shipper, Tracking Number & Date of Shipment.
In the event of shipping damage, we will also handle the claim for you.
